Yes. When you sign up, Stripe’s secure page asks for a card, but nothing is charged for 14 days. Cancel any time before day 15 (Settings → Manage billing) and you pay nothing. If you keep going, Pro is A$89 a month from day 15, charged monthly until you cancel. No GST is added: Estimate isn’t registered for GST.

The free trial includes 5 quotes in total. Pro covers up to 10 new quotes a week; the count starts again every Monday at 12am (Melbourne time, or your business’s time zone). Every new quote counts, including duplicates and quotes without a plan, and deleting a quote doesn’t give it back. Editing, re-sending and downloading quotes you’ve already made is unlimited.

Clear, dimensioned PDF plans work best: architect or builder drawings with room sizes printed on them. Hand sketches, photos of plans and drawings without dimensions are hard to read and need a lot more checking. Whatever the plan, you can correct any room before quoting.

It depends on the drawing. Plans with clear printed dimensions read well; cluttered drawings and poor scans are harder. That’s why every room, measurement and line item is shown for you to check and change before the quote goes out — you stay in control of the final number.

Painting and plastering go deepest: walls, ceilings, coats, sealer, skirting, doors, window frames, plasterboard, cornice, wet areas and Level 4/5 finishes are measured from the plan and priced out of the box, and external cladding and builder tenders are built in. Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, flooring, roofing, guttering, glazing, rendering, bricklaying, waterproofing, concreting and landscaping start with typical rates you change to your own, and you can add any other trade by name.

Yes. Upload your existing price list (PDF or spreadsheet) and Estimate fills in your rate card. You can do the same with your team’s pay sheet — even a photo of it — to set up wages. Or start from the starter rates and edit those. They’re Melbourne prices, because the builder who has been testing Estimate on real tenders works in Melbourne, so change them to what you charge where you are.

Yes. Every trade comes with a starter list of inclusions and exclusions you can reword, add to and tick. New quotes get your ticked lines automatically, and you can change them on any quote before it goes out.

Tap Send to customer and Estimate makes a private link you can text or email from your phone. Your client opens it on any device, sees the price room by room with GST shown separately, downloads the branded PDF (your logo, ABN, licence and payment terms) and accepts online. You can still download the PDF and send it yourself if you prefer.

Yes. When a quote you sent through Estimate has no answer, your dashboard tells you who to follow up: 3 days after sending, 7 days after, and 2 days before it expires. The message is written for you and sends from your phone in one tap.

Not yet. Estimate does the part those apps don’t — reading the plan and pricing the job — and gives you a branded PDF quote to send however you already do. Tell us what you use; it helps us decide which connection to build first.

They’re stored privately in your account and sent over encrypted connections. To run the service they’re processed by Anthropic (reading plans), Google (looking up addresses), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (sending emails), which are based in the United States. We never sell your data, and other Estimate users can’t see it. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Not yet. Estimate is built for Australian businesses: prices in AUD, 10% GST and Australian addresses. If you’re overseas, join the waitlist under Pricing and we’ll email you once when it’s ready for your country.
